Picnic tables

A good and practical seating environment is a necessity in places where people often gather. Whether in scenic or cosy areas like the forest, waterfront, the old square, by the beach, in the city park, or tucked away in an old town, inviting people to sit and enjoy their surroundings in peace and comfort, or in more utilitarian locations like rest stops, housing associations, institutions, campgrounds and more. Picnic tables are often the 2-in-1 solution, where seating is combined with a table - a practical outdoor furniture piece that works in both modern and more traditional settings, depending on design and material choice.
NordicOutdoorDesign's wide and diverse range of picnic tables is made from robust materials that withstand heavy wear and tear as well as wind and weather. Design, functionality, solidity and durability are combined into a quality product that lasts for many years. Picnic tables come in rectangular or square shapes, with or without backrests. Square picnic tables are suitable for places in a need of many seats within a limited space. Models with backrests have slanted seats and wide planks for comfortable seating.
NordicOutdoorDesign's picnic tables require minimal maintenance, as the frames are made of hot-dip galvanized steel, and all ends are closed with fully welded steel end plates. There are no holes in which fingers can get caught. Planks are available in oak, larch, mahogany and pressure-treated pine, which can be oiled for a beautiful appearance and extended longevity. Planks in maintenance-free recycled plastic - also known as non-wood planks, composite planks and plastic wood - are available for most models. As a standard recommendation, NordicOutdoorDesign suggests planks in Sipo mahogany due to their durability and beautiful appearance. For practical reasons, picnic tables with planks in rustic recycled plastic are also very popular and a sustainable alternative. Recycled plastic is solid and coloured through, completely maintenance-free and has a very long lifespan.
